Vision Statement

Redwood Empire Trout Unlimited’s vision is that populations of wild and native cold water fish once again thrive in California, and especially in our region, safe from environmental threats for this and for future generations of anglers to enjoy.

Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Redwood Empire chapter of Trout Unlimited to support wild and native coldwater fisheries within the California North Coast by protecting, reconnecting, restoring, and sustaining local rivers and watersheds for anadromous species.

Strategy

RETU will update and continue to support the Steelhead in the Classroom Program. RETU will continue to support the Steelhead Festival by promoting the chapter vision. RETU will continue to support the Colgan Creek Program.

Short Term: RETU will collaborate with organizations and resource agencies involved in the protection, restoration, and sustainability of cold water fish and watersheds in our region and the North Coast.

Long Term: RETU will develop programs of conservation and restoration of cold water fish and watersheds within our chapter region of the North Coast. These programs will be funded by chapter fundraising and solicited grants.
